Can you check your ranking in ChatGPT?

Not as a position. ChatGPT returns one synthesized answer naming a handful of sources, so there is no position 4 to track. What you can measure is citation share: across a fixed set of buyer prompts, the percentage of answers that name your brand, and which competitors are named when you are not.

Why do results change between runs?

Assistant answers are non-deterministic and their indexes refresh continuously. That is why a single reading is a snapshot: track the same prompt set on a fixed cadence and watch the trend in citation share rather than reacting to one answer.

How do I get ChatGPT to mention my brand?
