2026 AI Visibility Tools Matrix: Measurement vs Execution
Last updated:
Short answer
AI visibility tools split cleanly into two jobs: measuring whether assistants name your brand, and doing the site work that changes the answer. This matrix scores nine products across twelve capabilities so you can see which half of the job each one covers.

Check = documented core capability. Dash = partial, plan-dependent, or a separate workflow. Cross = not a documented part of the product. Ratings describe public positioning, not private roadmaps.
What each column tests
Citation tracking
Records whether an assistant named your brand for a given prompt, per engine, over time.
Grounded prompt set
Generates the tracked prompts from a crawl of your own pages rather than category templates.
Competitor naming
Shows which competitor was named in the answers where you were not.
Crawler-access audit
Checks robots.txt per assistant user agent (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot).
Answer-readiness scoring
Scores individual pages on whether a passage can be lifted as an answer.
Finds content gaps
Identifies buyer questions the site does not answer at all.
Generates recommendations
Returns specific, page-level instructions rather than a category score.
Writes JSON-LD
Produces valid, entity-correct structured data you can ship as-is.
Generates llms.txt
Builds a site-wide llms.txt index from the real page inventory.
Publishes to CMS
Pushes approved changes live to WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot, or Git.
Client scoping
Server-enforced per-client websites plus white-label export.
API / MCP
Headless access so the work runs without clicking through a UI.

Questions
What is the difference between AI visibility measurement and execution?
Measurement records whether assistants name your brand for a set of prompts. Execution changes the site so the answer changes: crawler access, JSON-LD, an llms.txt index, rewritten head tags, and self-contained answer passages. Most products in this category do one or the other; the matrix column 'Publishes to CMS' is the fastest way to tell which.
How were the ratings assigned?
Each rating reflects the vendor's publicly documented, generally available positioning. Yes means the capability is a documented core part of the product, Partial means plan-dependent or adjacent, and No means it is not a documented part of the product. No rating claims a vendor is incapable of something.
AgenticSEO publishes this matrix — is it biased?
AgenticSEO is one of the nine products rated, which is disclosed on the page and in the Word export. The columns are the questions buyers ask in evaluations, the ratings are coarse on purpose, and corrections are applied on request.
Can I reuse the matrix?
Yes. Download the Word version and use it in a deck or a post with a link back to this page. If you need a capability column added, ask and it will be considered for the next revision.
