AI Visibility Score badge
The AI Visibility Score badge is a live, embeddable score published by AgenticSEO. It rolls up how often ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity name a brand and cite its domain for that brand's tracked buyer prompts, combined with the answer-readiness of the site's own pages. The badge image is regenerated after every audit, and a site owner has to explicitly opt in before any score is shown publicly.
How to read the score
| Score | Band | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 80–100 | Excellent | Named and cited across most tracked prompts; pages are answer-ready and machine-readable. |
| 60–79 | Strong | Regularly named, cited on a good share of prompts, with a few open gaps. |
| 40–59 | Building | Appears on some prompts; on-page answer readiness or off-site citations still limit results. |
| 20–39 | Emerging | Occasional mentions, few citations. Usually a rendering, schema, or content-coverage problem. |
| 0–19 | At risk | Effectively invisible to AI assistants for its own category prompts. |
Badge questions, answered
- What does the AI Visibility Score measure?
- Four inputs: how often AI assistants name the brand for its tracked prompts (brand mention rate), how often they link a page on the brand's own domain (domain citation rate), the brand's share of mentions versus its named competitors, and the answer readiness of the site itself — rendering, head hygiene, schema, and quotable answer coverage.
- How often does the badge update?
- The image is regenerated from the most recent completed audit and cached for one hour, so an embedded badge reflects the latest score without any action from the site owner.
- Can a company change its own score?
- No. The score is computed by AgenticSEO from prompt runs against live AI models and from an automated audit of the public website. Companies control only whether the badge is published, and the public name shown in its URL.
- Why does a badge sometimes show no number?
- Because the site owner has not published it, or no audit has completed yet. The endpoint returns a neutral badge with no score and no company name in that case.
- How do I get a badge for my own site?
- Run an audit in AgenticSEO, open Step 5 — Track, then turn on 'Publish your AI Visibility badge' and copy the embed snippet into your footer or about page.
